The HES-SO Valais is a member of the University of Applied Sciences of Western Switzerland and is located in Sion, Sierre, Viège and Loèche-les-Bains, in the
HES-SO Valais offers 8 fields of study and 5 research institutes.
Today about 2’000 students attend courses (Bachelor level and in the future also Master level) at the HES-SO Valais. To fulfil its education and research goals, the HES-SO Valais relies on the expertise of its staff (220 professors and 120 scientific & technical assistants). The HES-SO is active in Engineering Sciences (Systems Engineering and Life Technologies), in Economics & Services (Business Administration, Business Information Systems and Tourism) and in Health & Social Work (Social Work, Nursing Science and Physiotherapy).
